Really delicious seafood, and this comes from a Louisiana girl! We were visiting Hot Springs for a getaway weekend and our hotel recommended this as 'locals' place. My husband and I had such a great time at Cajun Boilers. The boiled shrimp was most delightful, as well as the blue grab leg. The onion straws are great to munch on with a cold beer. Sit on the patio and over look the water. Oysters were also of excellent quality.

Try this place on a suggestion from a colleague... Must say, we enjoyed the food tremendously - The shrimp was excellent! My father tells me the gumbo was great. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Hot Springs area.

this is an old favorite and it just keeps getting better. The staff are attentive and professional, the food great and prices fair. PLEASE give them a try rather than the chains- they have a real cook and truly care about their patrons.

Great patio area, fresh seafood, and a reasonable prices. I enjoy every bit of it. You can't go wrong with this place if you like seafoods.

The food was ok but really over priced and the wait staff was slow and not attentive at all we could not get drink refills. This won't be our stopping place while we are in hot springs

Being from Louisiana I'm privileged to eat a lot of good seafood/Cajun food. A local suggested this place over all others so we gave it a shot. The food was good and our waitress was very helpful and friendly. I had a shrimp platter that included fried, boiled, grilled shrimp and shrimp scampi (I sound like Bubba from the Forest Gump movie) and two sides. Food was very tasty, served hot and relatively quick. BUT, bring plenty of cash 'cause they don't take any plastic.

LOVE IT. This is another place we don't miss when we come to Hot Springs. Their red beans & rice is great, & the étouffée is superb. I've always wanted to sit out on the patio; maybe next time we go.

I've been to Cajun Boilers a half dozen times over the last 20 years, and every time I go I wonder why I ever miss a chance to go there. The food is great, all kinds of seafood, frog legs, even alligator if you want it, and you can have just about anything cooked any way you want, fried, broiled, whatever. Great hush puppies, other sides are always good, seating outside if you want, cold beer, and reasonable prices. What's not to love?

Ordered their meal that had everything. The place was packed, the waitresses and everyone were friendly and efficient, the food was so so and the prices were $$$. However, it to us two napkins each with a fork & knife to find clean utensils and one plate was dirty. This was our first and last visit.

Avoid! Flee! If you want good customer service McDonald's put this establishment to shame. My kids aren't picky at all but their crab cakes tasted like they dropped a whole bag of seasoning in them. We sent it back and asked for Mac and Cheese. They refused! $1.99 Mac and Cheese would have fixed the problem and the Manager came out and said if we would have sent it back sooner they might could have done something. We were floored! Plus the room we were in was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation! I wouldn't go back here EVER!

We enjoyed a Sunday afternoon lunch on the deck over looking the lake. Food was very good. Two in the group had boiled and fried shrimp, and another had the crawfish etouffe. Everyone enjoyed their food very much, The mild boiled shrimp had good seasoning and just enough spice. Fried shrimp was batter dipped but very light and crispy. Hush puppies were excellent! We finished off with their excellent bread pudding. Service was also outstanding and very friendly!

HELLO fried deliciousness that I love! Fried catfish, hushpuppies and slaw, uh, how can I not love thee?? They've also got boiled and broiled for those that care. The alligator appetizer is a pleasant start, and the gumbo and etouffe are also good. I've been going to Cajun Boilers since I was in high school, and made a point of eating there when visiting Arkansas. What they serve is simple and consistent, and that's good enough for me.

We eat here every time we are in Hot Springs. I had read a few reviews that made me think that maybe it had gone downhill over the past few months. We were very pleased to find it is as good as ever. Our party ordered a variety of entrees from the daily special mahi mahi to etouffee to the Cajun Ribeye, and everybody was well-pleased. We all ordered gumbo as an appetizer and it was some of the best we have ever had. The food had a full-bodied flavor, but is not over spicy as some people think Cajun food has to be. Definitely a stop for seafood and steak lovers!

This is a great place right on the lake if you are in the mood for authentic seafood, at least as authentic as you can get this far from the ocean. Very rustic and local and laid back. The oysters on the half shell were great, and all of the food at the table was very good. The craw dads were a big hit. The service was exceptional, thanks to our server Jessica. Good place to go in Hot Springs if you are wanting to stay away from the chain restaurants.

One of the first places we at in hot springs and it's okay. I will give them credit on the hush puppies which are great. The shrimp was a little over cooked which made them difficult to eat but the seasoning was fantastic. If you like hot then the hot Seasoning was truly made for you! I would go back this place is pretty good and you have to get a tee shirt!!

BEST... EVERYTHING WE HAD! Catfish, oysters, mud bugs, alligator, & fried pickles! YUM, YUM, YUMMY! FAST kitchen, our server was the BOMB! She even brought us a little impromptu milk with our yummy chocolate bunt cake, covered in chocolate sauce! Giant beer! Good sweet tea. She was ON, SOOO friendly, attentive & flat out the best server EVER! We would make the hour drive out here just for this place!

Just down the lake from my RV Resort and I love to jump in the boat and dine on the lake any time I get a chance. All of their dishes are well prepared and the shrimp and oysters are the freshest in Hot Springs. Atmosphere is casual with a outdoor deck. The Lunch menu is priced at bargain prices if you wanting to save a buck.

This is a true Cajun restaurant in Hot Springs! Prices are reasonable and service is great! I highly recommend the boiled crab fingers.

Visited tonight....grew up tex/la so I know good Cajun. This was a solid effort...not the best I have had but would recommend to someone looking for a fix:) Service was good...nice waitress. Sweet tea was excellent. Slaw and hush puppies were subpar. Fried seafood platter was really good. Enough for my son and I to share along with some samples for my father in law:) Fried oysters and stuffed shrimp were the highlights for me. My in laws were not overly impressed with the gumbo. Now that we have family in the area, we definitely will try again in the future.

Every time in Hot Springs we go here... said I would not this time as food and service were spotty in the past. Here's a recap: 1- Very busy, but got the last open table. 2 -Service was good despite them being packed 3- Food was just so so. Had crawfish - please, please, cook them like you're supposed to: hint - go to Crawdad's restaurant in Merigold MS or The Boiling Point in Southaven MS, they do it right. What is that seasoning you put on these?? Side of red beans and rice, couldn't eat, beans were so dry on top, rice was so dry, I couldn't wash it down with a pitcher of beer more less 1 or 2. 4 - Like the atmosphere, but the food ....

I was so excited when we walked in and saw all of the local press about this place. It is soooo divey...I just knew it would amazing. I dunno...just blah...appears to be very popular with the locals...but I was so bummed. Just so bland. Service was good...just such a let down.

Went with our friends who live here. We came about 2 years ago for the first time for lunch. It was ok. This time it was for dinner. The special was snapper filet. Ordered it "blackened" and recommended it to our friends. My wife and our friend's wife ordered it also. Also we had side appetizers of gumbo and red beans&rice. The gumbo was good. The red beans&rice was great. The dinner plates came and the filets were hard and dry. The texture was like canned tuna! Couldn't eat it. The service was great and friendly. We would like to come again but not for fish! They only know how to batter and deep fry.

Blah, most things are fried and/or spicy. I'm not a seafood fan or spice fan so my opinion is colored. I know people that swear by this place for seafood, just not much else.

I've only been once and likely never pass this way again. This place was friendly and had great food and service. Wife and I both had Catfish Atchafalaya with the Boudin app. Grilled new potatoes on the side, and I had the coleslaw. We forced ourselves to have the peanut butter pie. Glad I discounted some of the less favorable reviews and dropped in. Honestly couldn't have asked for better.

Worst place ever. When we arrived the hostess ignored us got a few minutes. We were there for a surprise party and had reservations we asked if we could be seated and she said " go sit down" and pointed to the chairs at the front. We asked why and she said the whole party had to be there first. She would not budge. Anyways so as you can guess she ruined the surprise. The waitress was nice but the food was terrible. I will never go here again.

While on a little vacation in Hot Springs, AR my family and I stumbled upon this restaurant. We started with the gumbo and the boudin appetizers. Both were spot on. The workers were all you could hope for in a dining experience. Then I had the crawfish po' boy. It was excellent. I recommend you stop by and try this place out

Sunday Lunch- I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. I just can't pull the trigger on 4 stars. Store- Clean. Employees- Good. Efficient. Polite. Food- Good! Really good. ... but not for the price. I had a skewer of shrimp and a potato, $23. Kinda high. Location- good. Right across from Lake Hamilton. I'd go back, I reckon.

Simply everything on their menu was amazing. The grilled potatoes that were recommended were one of a kind! The staff was equally great. The atmosphere is very unique and there is something on the menu for everyone!!

Alligator tail appetizers were good. A few pieces were a little chewy but most were yummy. My 6 year old even liked them! Got crawfish étouffée, red beans and rice, shrimp and catfish. All were tasty! Also enjoyed a view of the lake while eating.

I really wanted this place to be good but it just wasn't. I guess the fact that it was not crowded on a holiday weekend should have been a giveaway. Food would have been almost as good as Popeyes if it wasn't cold. Manager reduced our dinner ticket for 2 by a whopping $3 for waiting over an hour for our order. Worst meal ever in Hot Springs and worst service ever anywhere.

The boudin was their saving grace and the only reason I am giving them two stars. The appetizers are decent: fried alligator, fried crawfish, crawfish dip, and the boudin. But then came our entrees. All the shrimp were cold and gave off that "fresh" from the freezer taste. The baked potatoes had been nuked to death and were incredibly dry regardless of the insane amount of butter and sour cream that had been stuffed into them. If you are looking for fresh, good Cajun seafood, please save yourself and go elsewhere.

This is normally a fav of ours on our way home from lakes to LR. Our first visit this year on 6/28 was terrible. It took over 10 min just to get a drink order only to follow with food taking forever and our salads coming out after our food and our appetites with our food? coleslaw is normally good but it was just dry cabbage today. House dressing was off from normal and had too much pepper. My husband had shrimp, I had oysters. His was much better. Food was probably 3.5 stars and our waitress a 2. Hope is gets better as we were disappointed from prior visits. Almost 2hrs we were there...

This place was an amazing find! We were looking for good seafood and we found it.. Start with the Onion Straws or Crawfish tails.. Both come with a great homemade Cajun dipping sauce. If your meal comes with a salad, make sure you get the house dressing. Amazing! Most of our group ate fried catfish and shrimp. Everyone loved it with the homemade tartar and cocktail. I got the Catfish Atchafalaya ... Being from South Mississippi and eating Cajun food my entire life, this was the best I've ever had. I chose Blackened Catfish and it was perfect.. All of us got the grilled potatoes as our side... You can't miss ordering those.. Overall, the experience was amazing with a great view of the lake.

Surprised how hard it is to find good Cajun food outside of LA. This is a great place, though a little pricy. The waitresses are a little pushy on what they feel you should order.
